Nigeria records longest breakfast cereal table
Leading nutrition, Health and Wellness Company, Nestlé Nigeria, has attained a new world record for the longest breakfast cereal table.
An estimated 1,700 people sat and ate together the world's largest cereal breakfast on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Cocoa Mall in Ibadan, Nigeria.
The previous world record, held in Dubai, registered 1,354 participants. Speaking on the historic feat, Gerben Kamps, Category Business Manager, Nestlé Milo Crunchy Cereals described breakfast as the most important meal of the day.
"Studies have shown that people who skip breakfast miss out on many vital nutrients, which they are unlikely to make-up for during the rest of the day. With this event, we have informed over two million people in Ibadan about the need to eat breakfast."
Beyond setting a new world record, over 5,500 bowls of delicious nutritious Milo Crunchy Cereals were served, underscoring the nutritional benefits of eating breakfasts made from fibre-rich wholegrain with the full complements of vitamins and minerals."
