Saudi Arabian Cargo Plane Crashed In Abuja, Airport Closed, Kate Henshaw angry

Several flights going to Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport in Abuja today have been cancelled due to a seriousplane crash.

A cargo plane from Saudi Arabia crashed landed yesterday night at the popular international airport. The Boeing 747 Cargo aircraft lost control on the runway and rammed into the maintenance area bursting into flames.

According to Aviation’s spokesperson Joe Obi, nobody died in the crash.

All flights to Abuja have been suspended as a precautionary measure.

Normal operation will resume as soon as the plane is taken off the runway.

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw is not in the best mood right now over the sudden closure of Abuja airport runway following a plane crash last night.

The actress who went to the airport in Lagos today was surprised to hear that the airport had been closed. What upset her most was the fact that she wasn’t informed prior to the time of her departure.

She took to her Twitter page few hours ago to vent her concerns.

“So I am about 2 board my flight 2 Abuja n just be4 we ascend the plane, we r turned back becos Abuja runway is shut down!! Just like that..
No prior info… no word to anyone, be it the airlines,passengers, nothing! You just shut the runway!!
No reason! No info! Like we are cattle that don’t deserve anything more than fodder!
The total disregard 4 proper procedure! I mean who does that? No care 4 d disruptions and the domino effect. U just close the runway!
Its not d airline’s fault that d Abuja runway is closed. The pilot looked tired cos he too just received d news”
